This time she was the fastest: The team newcomer Janne-Friederike Meyer won the Yageo Prize at the CHIO Aachen 2010, World Equestrian Festival with Chika’s Way.
The Holsteiner Caretino/Lord daughter sped round the course in 61.27 seconds and stayed clear. “It is fantastic to win in Aachen of course,“ she said delighted. Meyer has been rewarded for her good performances in the Nations Cup by being nominated for the A-squad.
Second place went to the Spanish show jumper, Sergio Alvarez Moya, who jumped clear with the Darco son, Wisconsin, in a time of 62.88 seconds ahead of the Irish rider, Cian O’Connor, who had saddled the 11-year-old Lester son, Splendor. The pair crossed the finish line without picking up any faults in 63.71 seconds.
